About Pest Control Services (Pty) Ltd
The company was started by Carol Smit after a 34 year successful career in banking. Becoming an entrepreneur, she decided to fill a much-needed gap in the marketplace for quality services in the hospitality industry and upper domestic market.
Carol initially attended all the required theoretical industry training, she qualified after a further 6 months practical training under a qualified PCO. Carol is presently joined by David Mahlakanya and Tommy van den Berg in providing a professional service in the structural pest control industry.
Our Qualifications
Our qualifications include certifications obtained from an approved AGRISITA training centre and we are registered with the Department of Agriculture that issued our operators with a P-number allowing the operators to act as responsible PCO’s (Pest Control Operators) within the guidelines of the industry.
Pest Control Services can treat Termites, as certified by the Department of Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries under the act of Fertilizer, Farm Feed, Agriculture Remedies.
Our Products
To ensure maximum safety to people and animals, we use mostly food safe products that will protect both people and domestic animals alike against harmful side effects.
Our products are approved by the Department of Agricultural and a MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) is available for all products.
Pricing
Pricing differs from client to client based on the type of infestation, level of infestation, size of premises, location, combination of services.

Covid 19 and Fogging
Following the devastating outbreak of Covid 19 in our country, we obtained the required equipment and disinfectant to satisfy the high demand for services to our clients.
We apply SABS disinfectant with the use of a high volume UVL machine to cover every inch of the contaminated premises. In addition, we manually sanitising high touch areas where required. We follow SAPCA guidelines for decontamination after qualifying ourselves in this area of decontamination of buildings.
During the past months, we have decontaminated a wide range of premises including:

Prior to any treatment, we perform a full inspection of the affected areas to identify the type of infestation, nesting places, habits, and food sources of target pest. We will identify a suitable treatment programme that we discuss with you and apply the correct treatment.
A service record with recommendations will be issued and where appropriate we will arrange follow-up actions and treatments.
